I have been blessed to be a member of the lds.org Response Team for the past few years. Every time I log in and begin my work there I feel an urgency to share what we do with others who may be searching for a positive way to spend their time.
Response Team volunteers answer feedback items that come in to lds.org from all over the world. People from all areas and walks of life regularly submit feedback with questions or comments about the website, or about The Church of Jesus Christ in general.
Once in a while the feedback is negative, but that is much more rare than common. Most of the time the feedback it is very positive! What I love the most are the questions.
My responsibility on the team is to answer all feedback items that have any reference to missionary work. This means I am blessed to read sincere, heartfelt inquiries from people all over the world and from all different faiths, who have a desire to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These inquiries bring tears to my eyes on a regular basis. Many sincere truth seekers are out there searching for the true gospel of Jesus Christ! They found the website, lds.org, and have written feedback desiring, even pleading, to learn more. I pray fervently every time I respond to one of these people, that they may find Jesus Christ and His glorious gospel.
My responsibilities on the team are not difficult. When I receive feedback from a truth-seeker, such as mentioned above, I have a specific response which I write back to them and then I quickly forward their message to the full-time missionaries. Other times I respond to other missionary-related items such as questions about serving as senior couples or how to find a mission map or local meetinghouse.
Though I focus on missionary-related feedback items, there are several other areas which team members respond to. Some handle questions which come in regarding technological issues with the website or the apps. Some respond to feedback regarding doctrinal questions. Many respond to general questions or comments related to the website.
If you would like to volunteer your time, but are apprehensive about responding to feedback, there are other areas which are also in great need, such as tagging images needed to improve the search functions on lds.org and the internet.
If this type of volunteer work sounds like something you would like to consider, I invite you to learn more at https://sites.google.com/site/aboutldsresponseteam/
If you have just a few hours a week, or several, you may find great joy in serving as a volunteer or a Church-service missionary as a member of the lds.org Response Team!
Please feel free to comment below with any questions you may have.
Thank you for all you do in your areas and with your capacities, to help hasten the work of salvation.
